Every year on March 30th, we celebrate Doctors’ Day to acknowledge the contribution physicians have made to society and the difference they’ve made in our own lives. The very first Doctors’ Day was celebrated in 1933 in Winder Georgia and was organized by Eudora Brown Almond, wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond. Mrs. Almond chose March 30th to mark the anniversary of the first time anesthesia was administered to a patient back in 1842 by Dr. Crawford W. Long.
