August, the eighth month of the year and the last full month of summer. A month where we continue to relish in all things that encompass the season. From cookouts to beach trips, we find ourselves spending more time together and less time worried about the day-to-day grind. Although there are no official holidays to celebrate this month, most families use August as a last hoorah of sorts, getting in all that is remaining of sweet summertime before back to school comes in like a whirlwind of sorts. August is a time to celebrate daily jewels of summertime and a more relaxed atmosphere with our loved ones. 

Here are a few must-know facts about August:

National Son’s and Daughter’s Day
